MIR4 Classes Guide 2026: All 8 Classes, Including Spirit Summoner
Every MIR4 class explained, from the launch four to the new Spirit Summoner, with skills, release dates, Class Change rules and live ranking data from all 68 servers.
MIR4 Classes Guide 2026: All 8 Classes, Including Spirit Summoner
MIR4 has eight playable classes as of September 2026. Four of them shipped with the global launch in 2021, three arrived in later updates, and the newest, Spirit Summoner, went live with the 5th anniversary update on August 18, 2026.
This guide covers every class: what it fights with, what it is built to do, when it joined the game, and where it actually sits in today's power rankings. The ranking numbers come from Mirkit's own daily snapshot of the official leaderboards, so they reflect the servers as they are this month, not a tier list from 2021.
MIR4 has 8 classes: Warrior, Sorcerer, Taoist and Lancer from launch, then Arbalist (2021), Darkist (2023), Lionheart (2025) and Spirit Summoner (August 2026). Lionheart and Spirit Summoner cannot use Class Change.
All 8 MIR4 classes at a glance
Each class has its own weapons, gear and skill set, but they all climb the same equipment grade ladder and progression systems. Here is the short version before the details.
- Warrior: greatsword, melee, frontline tank with crowd control. Launch class.
- Sorcerer: elemental magic, ranged, high area damage with a party attack buff. Launch class.
- Taoist: sword and spells, melee hybrid, the game's main healer. Launch class.
- Lancer: long spear, melee, attacks and defends in the same motion. Launch class.
- Arbalist: arbalest (crossbow), the only ranged physical damage class. Added November 2, 2021.
- Darkist: poison and curses, ranged, transforms into Asura. Added March 7, 2023.
- Lionheart: bracers and knuckles, melee brawler with heals and a reflecting barrier. Added August 19, 2025.
- Spirit Summoner: wand and spirits, ranged spellcaster and party buffer. Added August 18, 2026.
Spirit Summoner, the 8th class
Spirit Summoner is the headline of MIR4's 5th anniversary. Wemade first teased the class in its July 2026 Director's Commentary under the working name Spirit Master, opened pre-registration on August 4, and released it in the August 18 maintenance.
Spirit Summoner is MIR4's 8th class, released August 18, 2026. It is a ranged spell attack class that fights alongside summoned elemental spirits and doubles as a party buffer, raising allies' attack and refilling their MP.
The character is Miho, heir to a family that has served the Spirit King of the Mirage Ship. She channels the spirits of Light, Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Forest and Darkness through a wand, which the patch notes call a spirit staff, with a Doll as the secondary weapon. Wemade describes the role as a damage dealing buffer: strong at large area hunting, useful in PvP through slows, binds and debuffs, and valuable in a party because it lifts everyone else's numbers.
The kit has 13 skills. A few define how the class plays:
- Spirit Vortex, the Ultimate, merges four spirits into one attack.
- Spirit Spring refills MP for every party member.
- Black Fang is a Bash skill that concentrates spirit power into one point to nullify defense.
- Abyssal Cage binds enemies with tentacles, and Captivation charms them.
- Spirit Step and Dragon Burst handle movement: a leap to a target point and a damaging jump back.
Two restrictions matter before you commit. Class Change does not work in either direction, so an existing character cannot become a Spirit Summoner and a Spirit Summoner cannot switch away. Some older appearance exchange tickets, including Weapon Exchange Ticket I and II, also cannot be used or bought on this class.
The launch landed alongside Boosting World IV, a set of growth servers open until the January 5, 2027 maintenance with boosted hunting EXP and drop rates. Those perks belong to the server, not the class, but a lot of players combined the two, and the rankings show it clearly further down.
The four launch classes
Warrior, Sorcerer, Taoist and Lancer have been in MIR4 since the global launch in August 2021. Five years on, they still hold more than half of the top ranking spots on regular servers.
Warrior
The Warrior swings a heavy greatsword in sturdy armor and is designed to lead the charge. Skills like Iron Shackle pull enemies in, Unbreakable Stance and Riposte keep it alive under pressure, and Dragon Flame is the Ultimate. Community guides have long rated it the tankiest class and a comfortable pick for AFK farming, with slower mobility as the trade off.
Sorcerer
The Sorcerer is a ranged elemental caster built around Flame Orb, Frost Orb, Blizzard and Chain Lightning, with Dragon Tornado as the Ultimate. Phoenix Embrace buffs the party's spell attack. The official description sums it up well: strong alone, far stronger when allies are protecting it. Players generally find it fragile on auto and much better in manual hands.
Taoist
The Taoist mixes swordsmanship with spells and carries the game's core recovery kit: Heal, Greater Heal (which can revive once upgraded), Guardian Circle and the Ultimate, Ray of Light. It is the class groups look for first. Players find its solo farming slower and rate it harder to learn than most classes.
Lancer
The Lancer fights with a long spear and skills that attack and defend at the same time, such as Wind Wall and Absorption, which drains HP back from enemies. Dragon Spear is the Ultimate. Community opinion on the Lancer has never settled: some guides rank it as a top damage dealer, others as a sturdier, defensive class with lower damage. Its real strength is breaking into enemy lines.
The classes added later
Arbalist
The Arbalist arrived on November 2, 2021, in the same update that introduced Class Change. It is the only ranged physical damage class in MIR4, built on high mobility with Cloaking, Seeking Bolt, Ice Cage and the Arrow Rain Ultimate. Players note that its critical hits improve when it keeps firing at one target, which suits boss fights and duels alike.
Darkist
The Darkist joined on March 7, 2023 as the 6th class. She is a ranged caster who wears enemies down with poison and curses, summons a Craveling, heals herself through Chain of Blood, and turns into Asura with her Ultimate. Darkist also launched with the Special Exchange system, which converts another class's Epic or Legendary gear into your own class's version.
Lionheart
Lionheart, the 7th class, released on August 19, 2025. It is a melee brawler with bracers and knuckles that charges into formations, heals allies with Healing Technique and throws up Hardened Bulwark, a barrier that reflects damage. Rampaging Lightning is the Ultimate. Like Spirit Summoner, Lionheart is locked out of Class Change.
What the rankings say about each class
Tier lists age fast, so we went to the leaderboards instead. In mid-September 2026, Mirkit's daily snapshot covered the top 50 players by power score on all 68 active servers, 3,400 characters in total. The 61 regular servers and the 7 Boosting World servers tell two very different stories.
On the regular servers, the Arbalist dominates. It holds 42% of all top 50 slots and the number one spot on 27 of the 61 servers. The rest of the field looks like this:
- Arbalist: 42.0% of top 50 slots, rank 1 on 27 servers
- Taoist: 19.0%, rank 1 on 6 servers
- Warrior: 12.3%, rank 1 on 10 servers
- Sorcerer: 10.9%, rank 1 on 8 servers
- Lancer: 10.2%, rank 1 on 5 servers
- Darkist: 4.3%, rank 1 on 4 servers
- Lionheart: 1.2%, rank 1 on 1 server
- Spirit Summoner: not yet in any regular server top 50
Popularity at the top is not the same as raw strength. The single highest power score in the game belongs to a Warrior at 989,761, and Darkist, Arbalist, Lancer, Lionheart and Sorcerer all have players above 860,000. Veteran accounts could move between the six older classes with Class Change, while Lionheart and Spirit Summoner characters had to be built from scratch, which is the most likely reason for their small share on older servers.
Boosting World flips the picture. Spirit Summoner fills 68% of the top 50 slots there and holds the number one spot on 6 of the 7 servers, with a best power score of 517,239 one month after launch. Arbalist is the only other class with a real presence, at 21%. Since each account can make only one character on a Boosting World server, this is the clearest signal of what players chose when they started fresh.

Open player rankingsCan you change your class in MIR4?
Yes, for the six older classes. Class Change needs level 50, must be done in Bicheon Castle outside a party, and costs 1,000,000 Copper for the first new class, then 4,000, 8,000, 12,000 and 16,000 Gold. Lionheart and Spirit Summoner cannot change class.
Your level and account progress come with you, including constitution, inner force, codex and spirits. Skills do not carry over, and gear from your old class becomes unusable until you convert it through Special Exchange. Once you own a class, switching back to it is free with a 10 minute cooldown, and a Class Creation Ticket can replace the fee.
Which class should you pick?
Start from how you want to play rather than from the current leaderboard. If you want to heal and be wanted in every party, the Taoist is still the answer. If you mostly farm on auto, the Warrior forgives mistakes. If you like ranged damage and moving a lot, the Arbalist is the proven choice, and the data above shows how many top players agree.
For a brand new character, the Spirit Summoner is the strongest case this year: the newest kit, ranged area damage plus party buffs, and a Boosting World ladder where it is already the class to beat. Just remember it is a permanent decision, because Class Change will never move you in or out of it.
Whichever class you land on, you can follow how your character grows over time. Look yourself up on Mirkit to see your power score history, your server rank, and how you compare with the top players of your class.

Search a playerFrequently asked questions
Is Spirit Summoner a healer?
No. Spirit Summoner is a ranged damage class that supports the party with attack buffs, enemy debuffs and Spirit Spring, which refills every party member's MP. For direct healing, the Taoist and, to a lesser degree, the Lionheart remain the classes to look at.
Can I make more than one character on a Boosting World server?
No. Each account can create only one character on a Boosting World server, so the class you pick there is the class you level for the whole boost period, which runs until the January 5, 2027 maintenance.
Has Wemade rebalanced MIR4 classes recently?
Not across the board. The last broad skill balance update was in September 2023. Patches in 2025 and 2026 fixed individual class bugs, such as Lionheart's starting power score and Arbalist's Seeking Bolt hit count, without a general rebalance.
