A Dragon Artifact asks for Eternal Material, one Dragon material and one Dragon Sphere, all at the grade you are crafting, plus a Dragonsteel and Darksteel fee. Nothing else goes into the craft window.

Rare takes 10 Eternal, 25 Dragonsteel and 250,000 Darksteel. Epic takes 30 Eternal, 250 Dragonsteel and 2,500,000 Darksteel. Legendary takes 50 Eternal, 2,500 Dragonsteel and 25,000,000 Darksteel. The Dragon material and the Sphere are one each at every grade. If an older video shows double the Dragonsteel and Darksteel, that is from before the fees were halved.

The Scepter wants Eternal Steel and a Dragon Scale, the Cape wants Eternal Coldsteel and a Dragon Leather, the Tome wants Eternal Cold Jade and a Dragon Eye. The Seal shares the Scepter's Eternal and takes a Dragon Claw, the Crown shares the Tome's Eternal and takes a Dragon Horn. Stockpiling one Eternal type will not cover all five.

One Eternal material of a grade takes 10 of the grade below. An Epic one costs 500 Glittering Powder, 500 Life Essence, 5 Dragonsteel and 50,000 Darksteel. A Legendary one costs 2,500 powder, 2,500 essence, 25 Dragonsteel and 250,000 Darksteel.

You decide how far down the plan goes. Start at Epic and it stays short: farm this many Epic Eternal, upgrade that many into Legendary. Drop it to Rare and the chain opens all the way down, which is when the full bill shows up.

The game spends tradable materials during a craft exactly like normal ones, it makes no distinction. That is why the calculator adds up whatever you type into the two boxes and treats it as one number.

A Legendary piece needs 50 Legendary Eternal, which is 500 Epic, which is 5,000 Rare. The upgrade fees alone run to 1,375,000 Glittering Powder and 1,375,000 Life Essence, before the artifact's own 2,500 Dragonsteel and 25,000,000 Darksteel.

You cannot craft a Dragon Sphere, it drops from Request, Summon and Summon Boss. One per artifact, at the artifact's grade, which is why the Sphere is usually what holds a plan up rather than the Eternal materials.

Turning an artifact into its Black Dragon or White Dragon version is Inherit, not crafting: it wants a Dragon Sphere and a Dragon material of the same grade plus Dragonsteel. This calculator covers crafting only.
